We are located in the Yucatan Peninsula in the heart of the Maya Ruins of Campeche State, Mexico, in the heart of the Rio Bec archaeological area. We own 50 hectares of jungle fronting on Highway 186- at kilometre 142 between Escarcega and Chetumal, 12 kms west of Xpujil. Opened in March 2003, we presently have Cabanas and Jungalows with full restaurant and bar facilities with a low rise Hotel planned for the future.

Rio Bec Dreams is in the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve, an area of 6 million acres. As this is a United Nations designated biosphere, our goal is to be as self-reliant and ecologically responsible as possible. To this end, we recycle our grey water and are working towards self-sufficiency with solar power. Rain water supplies over 50% of our water needs at present.
